Mitsubishi Colt – An updated review

Colt Diesel
The most distinguishable feature that makes the Mitsubishi Colt stand out is the Evo style nose. However, there are plenty more features, both inside the car and out, which make this car great for travel, particularly in busy towns.
The Mitsubishi Colt has so much variety in terms of the models available from Mitsubishi dealers. Customers can choose from a 3 door or 5 door, and pick from a variety of engine options such as the 1.1, 1.3 and 1.5 litre petrol engines. The only downside is that there are currently no diesel engine options available, however, eco-friendly start-stop technology is available on the 1.3 model which should ease concerns.
In terms of the drive itself, the entry level 1.1 feels most at home in an urban environment. This is where it can really show off the nippy and agile performance. The 1.5 variant offers harder sports suspension for an exhilarating ride. Speed naturally ranges between variants, but as a general overview the Colt ranges from 75bhp with the 1.1 model and reaching a maximum of 150bhp with the 1.5 3dr edition.
Arguably the biggest benefit of the Mitsubishi Colt in these current times is the running costs. The 1.3 Cleartec is the most economical model, emitting 119g/km of CO2, returning 56.5mpg fuel economy. This may well be due to the start-stop technology mentioned earlier.
