Peugeot’s award winning 3008 Crossover range now includes two new models: the 3008 SR and 3008 ENVY Special Edition.
The Peugeot 3008 is the perfect choice for customers who are looking for something different. Whether these customers currently drive a conventional saloon, MPV, SUV or a hatchback, the 3008 provides a new alternative which spans all these different vehicle types. It has the flexibility and space of an MPV, the rugged looks of an SUV and the vehicle dynamics of a family hatchback.
Now the previous three model line up, Active, Sport and Exclusive, has been extended to include a new SR model with standard fitment of Peugeot’s Grip Control, and the Special Edition 3008 ENVY.
The SR model is based on the Sport model but includes the following extra standard specification: RNEG Colour Satellite Navigation, Bluetooth, Grip Control and 16” Alloy wheels with Mud + Snow tyres. It is available with Peugeot’s latest Euro 5 HDi 112 diesel engine and either a six-speed manual gearbox or six-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox (EGC). Aimed mainly at Fleet customers it has CO2 emission levels of between 129 & 135 g/km.
The second new model is the 3008 ENVY Special Edition which again is based on the Sport model but provides customers with ”Exclusive” levels of desirability. It builds on the standard specification of the Sports model with the following extra standard specification: Dark tinted rear windows, Exterior Styling Pack (Aluminium Detailing), Head-up Display and Cielo Panoramic Glass Roof. All this extra specification is included for just £600 more than the equivalent Sport version. It is available with either a 1.6 litre VTi 120 petrol engine or HDi 112 Euro 5 diesel engine. Both models come with a manual gearbox, five-speed for the VTi and six-speed for the HDi 112.

Powered by a 2.0 litre HDi diesel engine producing 200 bhp
First and third in category
Peugeot RCZ priced from £20,450.00 on-the-road
On sale in the UK on 22nd May
Peugeot’s stylish new RCZ is not just a success on the streets of the UK, it is also a star on the race track.
Last weekend saw two Peugeot RCZ diesel cars take first and third place in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race. Powered by Peugeot’s 2.0 litre HDi FAP diesel engine producing 200 bhp, the cars ran in the D1T category, for diesel cars between 1700 and 2000 cc. Both cars were mainly standard except for a few specific racing and safety parts sourced via Peugeot Sport.
The two cars raced under numbers 200 and 201, in recognition of Peugeot’s 200 year anniversary celebrated this year, and were driven by an all French and German team. It was the German crew, driving car No201, which at the end of the 24 hours was victorious with first place in its category and a very creditable 50th overall out of the 197 cars which started the race. The second RCZ, only six laps behind, finished third and 82nd overall.
This fantastic win comes just days before the Peugeot RCZ goes on sale in the UK and confirms the car does not just have supercar good looks but also the dynamic performance to achieve success in one of the most demanding 24 hour races.

New 6-Speed manual gearbox replaces original 5-Speed gearbox
New Euro 5 HDi 112 bhp engine replaces previous HDi 110
Priced from £15,645.00 on-the-road
Zero First Year V.E.D
On sale in April
The Peugeot 207 hatchback and SW now have extra “six appeal” with the introduction of a new 6-Speed manual gearbox and a new Euro 5 HDi diesel engine.
The 207 Sport HDi 110 hatchback and SW Sport and Outdoor HDi 110 models are now replaced by new versions fitted with a new 6-speed manual gearbox and a more powerful HDi 112 bhp diesel engine.
This new 1.6 litre HDi 112 FAP diesel engine meets the requirements of the Euro 5 emission standards and benefits from a number of improvements over the current 110 bhp unit. These include increased performance in terms of driveability and responsiveness, as well as quieter operation, while at the same time reducing CO2 emissions.
Thanks to its new hi-tech design, this new four cylinder engine with a capacity of 1,560 cm3 and eight valves, has a maximum torque output of 270 Nm at 1,750 rpm, an increase of 12.5% over the current engine and, during overboost, 285 compared to 260 Nm. It also has a very wide operating range with high levels of torque available at all times, ensuring good driveability and reduced fuel consumption on a day to day basis (since the user can drive more often at lower engine speeds): 135 Nm from 1000 rpm, 242 at 1500 rpm, 270 from 1750 to 2000 and 224 Nm at 3500 rpm. Its maximum power output is 112 bhp at 3600 rpm.
New-generation technology
A number of technical developments derived from the extensive know-how of Peugeot’s engineers in terms of HDi FAP diesel engines have made it possible to achieve these improvements. Between this new 1.6 litre HDi and its predecessor, more than 50 % of the parts have been entirely redesigned.
The engine uses Peugeot’s Extreme Combustion Chamber System (ECCS) technology and a new Continental Automotive System common rail injection where the injection pressure is increased to 1,650 bars (compared to 1600 previously) as well as new piezo-electric injectors with seven apertures (instead of solenoid injectors with six apertures as fitted to the previous 1.6 litre HDi diesel engine).
The engine management software has also been entirely redesigned to give this unit more comprehensive injection mapping (up to 5 injections per cycle), improved efficiency and better diagnostics for after-sales service. This helps to improve the homogeneity of the air/diesel fuel mixture for maximum performance, quieter combustion and a reduction of emissions at source.
The engine also uses a Honeywell Turbo Technology variable-geometry turbocharger, optimised in terms of its size. Being smaller, it has a lower inertia, reducing response times to a minimum. An improved exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR valve) and the reduction of internal friction losses allows maximum enhancement of engine efficiency while minimising potential energy losses. Like its predecessor, this 1.6 litre HDi comes as standard with a diesel particulate emission filter (FAP) with a service life of 112,000 miles.
Peugeot 207 Sport models also benefit from improvements to the standard specification with the fitment of dark tinted rear windows and rear electric windows on the five-door hatchback and SW versions.

Peugeot has launched a new Marque plan, stating its goals for 2015.
To move up 3 places in the world car market.
To establish the Peugeot marque as the benchmark for style.
To become the leading manufacturer for mobility services.
In order to achieve these goals, Peugeot is relying on a new product strategy, new style lines, new mobility services and a new visual identity.
A twin product offensive
Peugeot will reaffirm its excellence in its historic heartland. A ‘Peugeot’ vehicle is always stylish and combines both driving enjoyment and environmental protection. A ‘Peugeot’ will never be purely functional; it will always awaken both emotion and invite usage. The Marque is, therefore, investing in a range of cutting edge technology: electric propulsion in the i0n and E-Vivacity scooter from 2010, diesel hybrid in the 3008 from 2011, e-HDi (Stop-Start) on all diesel models from 2011 and plug-in diesel hybrid in 2012.
Peugeot is embarking on a conquest to develop new market opportunities. Peugeot has already demonstrated its commitment to enter new markets, with the creation of the 3008 Crossover, 4007 SUV, and the new 5008 MPV. The future will see a special range of products, developed for international markets.
Peugeot recently showed its BB1 electric concept as part of a European tour of major cities. The overwhelming interest shown in the product means that Peugeot has now decided to design and build a vehicle which will embody all of the spirit of the BB1: 2.5m, 4 seats and 100% electric. The BB1 concept is a revolutionary way of seeing the urban journeys of tomorrow. It provides a very efficient use of space, dynamism and great manoeuvrability. Full connectivity with the latest smart phones, fully adaptable with an architecture the like of which has never been seen before; the BB1 will shake up the rules of motor vehicle design.
As part of this twin product offensive in its core markets and in new markets, Peugeot will launch a total of 14 new models worldwide between 2010 and 2012.
Peugeot is currently ranked in tenth position in the World Car Market and with this new strategy aims to move up three places by 2015.
New style lines
Peugeot is also revising and modernising its model styling; the SR1 concept car recently unveiled is visual proof of this. It embodies the strongest, most extreme and purist expression of Peugeot’s future styling.
It reveals all the main stylistic codes of forthcoming Peugeot models, reinterpreting the historic DNA of the Marque: speed, harmony, felineness and dynamism, and will be the star of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March.
New mobility services
Peugeot is the only marque to be able to offer global mobility solutions through its range of cars, light commercial vehicles, scooters, bicycles and support services.
In 2010 the Marque will introduce Mu by Peugeot into Europe, an innovative “top-up card” mobility service. With its unique product range it allows everyone, whether they already own a vehicle or not and whether they are a Peugeot customer or not, to access a range of mobility services via a pre-paid “top-up card” which can be topped up via an internet site.
New identity
Peugeot provides a unique combination between the need for a vehicle and the emotion the ownership or desire creates. Peugeot’s aim is always to place emotion at the heart of any motoring experience: a ‘Peugeot’ will never be purely functional.
In order to communicate and illustrate the new identity all over the world, Peugeot will now adopt a new international brand signature: Motion & Emotion.
In this year of its 200th birthday, Peugeot is modernising not only its identity but also its activities throughout the world with a new set of corporate guidelines and graphics.

Peugeot reigns with another one-two finish
Poor weather brings race to an early finish
Peugeot 908 HDi FAP follows Le Mans success with another win
After several days of searing heat, the Georgian weather took a turn for the worse today. A cocktail of showers, storms and flooding caused the race to be interrupted shortly before the halfway point, with the N°08 Peugeot of Montagny and Sarrazin lapping ahead of the N°07 machine of Minassian and Lamy. In the end, the organisers chose not to send the cars back out, handing Peugeot its second one-two finish of the year following its triumph in the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
Not once in the past 11 years has the 10-hour Petit Le Mans endurance race unfolded and ended in such appalling conditions. Following the intense heat that marked qualifying, the heavens opened early on race day, prompting the warm-up session to be delayed, and the cars were forced to line up on the grid immediately after the handful of warm-up laps that were actually completed. This situation didn’t make life easy for Team Peugeot Total which was unable to fine-tune its wet weather set-up prior to the start, especially since the 908 HDi FAP had never previously competed in such conditions.
The early part of the race soon saw the two French cars lose their lead and they were unable to match the pace of the Audis which took control of proceedings. The track then dried out a little on a couple of occasions in the course of the first hour, however, and that gave first Pedro Lamy and Nicolas Minassian in the N°07 car a chance to close to within a handful of seconds of McNish’s pace-setting Audi. Meanwhile, the N°08 sister car of Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazin – which had trailed the leaders by as much as two laps at one point – succeeded in making up ground thanks to a carefully thought through strategy.
The displays of the two 908 HDi FAPs under the seven safety cars and the return of dry conditions then enabled the two Peugeot crews to take the battle to the McNish/Capello Audi, which led to a thrilling scrap and some breathtaking passing. A further safety-car intervention, the return of torrential rain and a spin by McNish put the seal on the final positions when the race was red flagged for safety reasons after 4 hours and 48 minutes! The teams remained in the starting blocks for almost four hours as they waited for the re-start, but in the end the organisers chose not to send the cars back out…
Bruno FAMIN: “Following the delayed warm-up, we had just five laps to set up the cars, and we started the N°07 car in a predominantly wet weather set-up, with the N°08 running dry weather settings. Intermediate tyres are not permitted in the United States, so we had to make do with full wets before we were able to switch directly to slicks. When the track eventually dried out, both cars proved very quick and we were able to run a double-stint strategy thanks to the consistency and performance of our tyres. At the same time, we coped very well with the safety car periods to catch and ultimately pass the Audis.”
Stéphane SARRAZIN: “We started the race with a low downforce set-up which made my first stint very difficult indeed. However, as soon as we switched to slicks, we were able to revert to a qualifying pace. It’s nice to win after finishing second so often!”
Franck MONTAGNY: “It’s great to have won the mini Le Mans! It all feels very weird, but I think the organisers were right to stop the race, because the conditions really were dangerous. We had an excellent strategy and our car was very fast once we were able to run on slick tyres.”
Olivier QUESNEL: “We came here with the aim of using this race as a work session, while at the same time endeavouring to win. The entire team functioned very well and our drivers didn’t make a single mistake despite the awesome conditions. We really made a big effort to win today and we can now look back at a great record in 2009 thanks to our one-two at Le Mans, our win at Spa, our second place at Sebring and our performance here at Road Atlanta today. Not to mention the all-Peugeot podium on January’s Rallye Monte-Carlo and the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ titles we have just secured in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge thanks to subsidiary-run programmes.”
PETIT LE MANS – final positions:
1, Peugeot 908 HDi FAP 08 (Sarrazin/Montagny)
2, Peugeot 908 HDi FAP 07 (Minassian/Lamy), +2.011s
3, Audi (Capello/McNish), +3.465s
4, Audi (Luhr/Werner), +1 lap
5, Oreca (Panis/Dumas/Lapierre), +3 laps.
