im from that neck of the woods but havent heard of them, are they doing their own maps or using someone elses? i assume the question is asked as youre considering a map from them? it may be that one of us knows the company who wrote the map if indeed thats the case?

Yeah they write their own maps - they have taken over the premises that used to be Vsport.

Was looking for a map for the future - I was going to use RS tuning in Leeds but was just looking to see if there was any closer to Durham area.

PD Tuning have abit of a bad rep up here mate,i dont know the in's n out's tbh but not many people i know rate them at all.

Im on UK MKIVS and we recently had a rolling road there, everybody seemed to be down on power from what they were expecting but we could go back to PD and they would sort out the maps etc???

They have changed theyre name from Vsport and they nearly ended up in court after rippin off a load of Vauhall guys aparently, they had to stop using the name Vsport but its still the same onwers (as far as i know) and the same staff.

Personally id stay clear, just my opinin tho.

Theres a coupe of other places tho, theres one in Newburn Ind Est called Just Diesels, hes an agent for Custom code i think as is a place called MB Motorsport in Hebburn, they specialise in VAG and race rally cross so know theyre stuff, they have a 350 bhp 1.8T mk4 and 450bhp TT they build themselves.

Id have work done there to and theyre spot on!

I know R TECH are doing xmas deals aswell and have a very good rep, they also do a mobile service aswell, alot of the UK MKIVS boys have had theyre maps and have been very happy!

I've used pd twice now for stage 1 maps, he emailed me the other day sayin he had a new map for my car and would do it for nowt, just had it done n its fantastic. I've never had any issues with him and i know the lad, he's easy to get one with n knows what he's on about, does stage 1 and 2 maps with rolling road, my 150tdi toledo putting out over 190bhp now (bye bye clutch :( ), and hes doin a stage 2 at the weekend on me mates fiesta tdci. When i first got my map done he said if i had any issues to go back to him, when i first got map done the coil light wouldnt go out, but popped in one day and he sorted it there and then, changed part of the map and everything was fine.

I know Mick at MB Motorsport, my mate works for him. He does Jabbasport maps which most people have heard of, he only does stage 1 maps though, but i think can arrange the stage 2, but they have to go to jabbas hq. Can't fault him either to be honest, he's a sound bloke, (bloody good driver too!) and if i hadnt got my map at pd tuning id of been to him.

I've never had any experience with Just Diesels personally, but i know a few people who have and they dont have any problems either, but i dont know anything about the maps they do there. The lad who does the maps for JD sometimes comes up to work and does maps for cars that are in stock and theres never been any issues.

That's just my 2p :)

Sorry, dont know how I didnt see this thread before.

I had my A4 remapped by VSport. Have they gone and a new company in, or is it simply a name change with the same people? I am aware that there are a few people who arent happy with their work on various local forums and allegations flying about, but speaking from personal experience I was happy with their work. Custom map written and loaded, told to try it and if I wanted it altering to let them know. They spent a while listening to what I wanted, and did a good job in achieving it (130 sport got 172.6bhp and 300lb/ft torque with a nice wide flat torque curve)
Can you talk the torque?

Cheers bud - good to hear some positive info about them. They did change their name & there's various stuff on the net saying they are the same people :?

I emailed them about a couple of things in December but they never replied so it's their loss

Will probably do RS Tuning when the job situation improves :(

I used PD tuning for a rolling road session to see what my car was running,i thought the guys there were very helpful and gave me some good advise,i have not used them for a remap so cannot comment on their maps.
There is a Company in Dragonville nr Durham called Turbo Pacs they do remaps but they are expensive.
A stage1 is at least £600 which seems about £200 more than most. http://www.turbopacs.com/

 £600  Thats double what V sport charged me, and a lot more than CCtuning are asking for to do my Saab.
